
Click "Save" to open the Save dialog window, or click File|Save As, or press Ctrl+S:

To navigate to the appropriate folder click the drop down menu:

to return to the last folder visited or click
to go up one level in the folder tree.
To create a new folder click
then enter a new folder name.

To change the view of the file list, click the "View" button and click on the type of view you prefer.

To Choose a name for the file, type the name in the "Object name" box or choose a name from the drop down menu:

To choose a type of the file being saved, use the drop down menu in the "Save as type" box

Each type of file has certain options that can be adjusted by clicking
. I usually do not change these options but, for example, when saving a JPG file, the options dialog window looks like this:

For a high-quality image you plan to print use a JPG Quality of 90 or 95%, for a lower resolution image you plan to e-mail use a JPG Quality of 60 or 70%.
